(More customer reviews)This review is more about Amazon than the dust collector. I ordered this on Monday and paid for overnight shipping to get it on Tuesday. When UPS came to the shop, the driver only had one box containing the canister filter. When I questioned the driver, he said the rest of it was coming from another driver later in the day. Since the Base of this unit weighs well over 100 lbs, I didnt think twice. However, when the other box never arrived, I called UPS and was told that the delivery had been made. They informed me that their records showed that they dropped off a package weighing 140 lbs and that I signed for it. When I told them that the package they dropped off was only a filter weighing around 20 pouns they told me there was mothing I could do except contact Amazon. I called amazon and was told by them that there records also indicate that they shipped a package weighing 140 pounds and that I signed for it. So, I am not sure where this will end up, but for now I have paid $800 for a dust collector filter. Amazon is trying to figure this out but obviously their warehouse personnel havent figured out that this unit comes in two boxes. So, buyer Beware. This may be a good machine but I spent 5 hours on the phone today instead of working in the shop. This could be easily settled by the UPS driver who carried this package over 100 feet. He would know that it only weighed 20 pounds. UPS however has insisted that there is no way for them to know who the driver was. Yea Right.
Update. Amazon has decided to "look at this" and told me to ship the box back. If they decide that the filter is all that was sent, they will credit my account.
Update. it has now been 6 weeks. Still no refund. UPS verified return, and Amazon agrees that I returned the item. However, someone on the dock apparently lost it so amazon wont refund my money until they find it.
It has now been two months and more emails and phone calls that I can recall. Amazon says they have determined that this was their mistake but will not issue a refund until they complete their review. NO REFUND IN SIGHT. BEWARE buying any big ticket item from AMAZON
