(More customer reviews)These are the cheapest Merv 8 Filters I could find. But they do not appear cheap at all. They came well packaged and now I have one less thing to remember to buy for the next couple of years.
I always have trouble finding many options in 16x16, with most of them more expensive then the same product in bigger sizes. To get a good price, I ordered online and am happy I did.
Some people like to buy 16x25 and leave one end hang out of the ductwork, but I prefer to use the correct size and then use a piece of air-tight tape over the opening to keep out hobby related dust and colder air from the basement (where the furnace is located).
