(More customer reviews)You show the pail as the item being sold but it comes in a small bag. not knowing the density of activated carbon the pail indates the volume of the carbon relative to my filter. a pail size would be enough for the filter container. that little bag was not. bought a 50lb bag from Siemens for just a little more than this 9 lb rip off.

Safely clear "tea colored" pond water. Activated carbon is very effective at removing dissolved organics from pond water, such as stains and discoloration caused by leaves and organic debris. Activated carbon is also great at removing harmful chlorine and chloramines caused by tap water. Typically 4-6 lbs. will treat 1,000 gallons for 2-3 months. Each 9 lb bucket comes with one mesh bag.
