(More customer reviews)Tried this for the first time and it does seem to help a lot. The water here is not terribly hard ,but the filter will calcify rather quickly in the winter. The use of this treatment has cut down the need to clean the filter with vinegar as often and extended the life of the filter.

(More customer reviews)I've had a problem with the vornado humidifier wicks/water growing orange algae and becoming quite stale and brown on high humidity days in the winter. I was replacing filters a number of times through the winter and cleaning out the humidifier pan. This has been great at solving that problem, I use about 1/2 the recommended amount. I was previously using a drop or two of bleach to try to keep the water clean but that was not so effective.

(More customer reviews)I am writing this review to counter its current 1-star rating (from a review based solely on a marketplace SELLER and not the actual product). First off, the PRODUCT IMAGE is NOT CORRECT. The customer uploaded image is the correct one and is what we received.
This product is what it is ~ a replacement wick for some Bemis and Essick humidifiers. We bought this for our Bemis ED11-800 and our Bemis 4D7-800 and it works great. No white dusts. We had tried cheaper replacement wicks and they just didn't work as well.
Amazon definitely had the best price at the time we got these at under $13 shipping included PLUS a 4 for the price of 3 promo.
