(More customer reviews)I use several tower fans to move air around my condo. I bought a pair of these Honeywell tower fans last year and have used them non-stop since. They work well, are quiet, move a good quantity of air for their size, and actually provide a bit of filtration as a bonus. (There is a removable filter that won't remove small particles but does catch things like cat hair). My only complaint is that the base that they sit on isn't very solid or weighty and this means the fans tend to wobble a bit. It's not really noticeable unless you bump into the fan, so it's really a minor complaint.
The fan has various settings which I've only used a few of (time delay shut down, oscillation, air speed) all of which can be controlled using the remote. I've not really used the remote much, so I can't really review how well it works.
Overall this is a nice, quiet tower fan. It does what it's supposed to do well, and that's all you can ask.

(More customer reviews)This unit is nothing to write home about but I guess it serves its purpose. I purchased this fan for my small studio apartment. To be honest I'm slightly disappointed. If you are looking for a medium sized unit for an office or small apartment this unit does help.
That being said, don't be misled by the air cooling feature. This is not an air conditioner and will only give you slightly cooler air flow. The fan on high isn't really powerful. The two reusable ice packs are nice so that you can rotate them in. The timer control works well so that you can set it to run when you leave or go to sleep and it will continue to run for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. The setup and controls are very user friendly. You can get this unit up and running within 2 minutes of opening the box.
I don't think I would buy this unit again. I'd probably look for something with a higher speed fan or something that cools the air a little bit better.

To me, they are indispensable in maintaining a more comfortable environment, especially as a cubicle dweller at work. They move an easily adequate volume of air - I rarely turn it above the low speed setting. One kind of nice side benefit is that the sound from the fan, while obviously not silent, does create a "white noise" that is somewhat effective in drowning out ambient sounds while not being annoying. If you are looking for a small footprint fan for a space inside of 8x8', this one is highly recommended.

-size, very compact
-can be placed horizontally or vertically to save space
-does a very good job of removing particles from the air
-ionizer removes odors
-price, try to find an air purifier/ionizer for under $40
Cons:
-fully effective for rooms 110 square feet or smaller
-noise level (at low it is slightly noticable, on medium you have to turn up the tv a few notches, on high it sounds like a fan or air conditioner on full blast)
For the price, it does a terrific job in smaller rooms with the only drawback being the noise (which on low is very bearable). I leave it on high all day while I'm at work, switch to medium in the evening and low at night and it does the trick.
