(More customer reviews)Save your money!!!!! After going thru cheap gas trimmers like disposable lighters, I thought I'd bite the bullet and buy a good one. Well, after spending $199.00 for this troy built, I thought this would last me a while. WRONG!!! I pruchased it from Fleet Farm in Chippewa Falls WI. While using it my third time, I heard a terrible noise, and it suddenly quit. Returning to the store with it, they told me I abused it, and there was nothing they could do (trimming weeds is abuse?! - isnt that what this is supposed to do?) So another $109.00 later, it now had a new flywheel. Tried it again - after about 15 minutes use, there was that horrible noise again, and another sudden stop. I called Troy Built, and was told to take a hike, it was my problem, and they would do nothing for me, but I could send it in and they would install another flywheel for me - Another $109.00 + shipping. My nice new Troy built trimmer now occupies its rightful spot at the local landfill, along with the $308.00 it cost me for about 1-1/2 hours use. Along with the putrid performance of this piece of garbage goes the total lack of service by the selling dealer, FARM AND FLEET in chippewa falls.
If youre thinking of buying one of these trimmers - DONT DO IT - it is an expensive paperweight, with absolutely no customer service.

(More customer reviews)These humidifier filters are as cheap as they get and lasts forever! We live in the Southwestern desert and our family members all have naturally dry skin so our humidifiers practically run year around (one in each bedroom, 365 nights a year). I only need to replace these filters about twice a year because, every month, I soak them in vinegar to remove the hard water deposits. This keeps the filters supple and able to absorb/output more moisture into the air. Don't buy the cheap "fakes" on eBay; get the original Vornado filters; they'll last a whole lot longer than the "fakes". Love the Vornado humidifiers too -- easiest to use and clean!

Protec WF2 Extended Life Replacement Humidifier Filter Review

(More customer reviews)I purchase these every year for my Vicks humidifier. I have spent way beyond what the machine itself cost me on filters. Each filter lasts about a month to 6 weeks before getting moldy and stops wicking the water. I only use the humidifier for about 4 months in the Winter, which a 3 pack of filters is good for. I would use it all year if I did not have to keep replacing the filters. If someone knows a better choice of longer lasting filters, please post.
12/9/08-Too bad this is the only place I have easily found these. I cannot believe they have gone up $10 in cost since I purchased them a year ago (11/30/07)!

(More customer reviews)It appears that the first guy to review this humidifier didn't bother to read the directions. He said there is no way to tell if the unit needs to be refilled. That is completely incorrect. The digital readout will indicate the level of humidity in the air but if one of the bottles is empty an "F" displays on the left or right to tell you that the bottle on that side needs to be filled. This unit definitely does the job but it is quite flimsy and it is very noisy. I find it hard to justify the $180 price based on build quality but it does do the job.

Hamilton Beach Blue Humidifier Replacement Filter Review

(More customer reviews)I like the size of this humidifier/vaporizor, but it is a little noisier than I expected. I could not find the filters instore anywhere, which was very annoying but I think I saw them at WalMart recently. We run the vaporizor almost 24 hrs a day since our baby girl was born 2.5 yrs ago and I have used 4 filters. It's good for white noise too. Just remember to run it dry each time to make the filter last longer and prevent mildew from growing in the container.
