(More customer reviews)So far, I've used this strip in two countries, New Zealand, and New Caledonia. The later uses the EU standard. New Zealand, like the country has to be different. This strip has performed well during this trip. It weighs next to nothing and the plugs really are universal. I carry it with my laptop. Others have borrowed it using their own unique plug type. My original surge protector consisted of an eight pound transformer and an unprotected power strip. This is such an improvement.
The only negative I have is that the US 2-prong plug tends to be a little loose in the outlet. This is not a serious problem though just a thought worth mentioning. It may be advisable to use a 3-prong US outlet when possible to reduce the risk of arc at 220 or 240 VAC.
