A very nice small unit I sit on my counter by my sink. My average TDS is .025;from .380 TDS to .025 with city water is awesome. A very good price compared to others also.

Campbell Hausfeld VS5006 15 Amp 2 Horsepower 20 Gallon Oiled Wheeled Single Tank Compressor Review

(More customer reviews)The compressor, being an oiled design makes it SO much quieter than the oil-free compressor it is replacing. I can actually hear someone talk now when the compressor is running. Output seems to be OK but you won't be able to split the airline and run 2 cutoff wheels on it or anything like that. For the home-owner garage use it should be fine for me. I don't think I'll ever buy an oil-free compressor again after hearing the noise difference. Shouldn't need to buy another for a long time though since it is rated for 3,000 hours-that would be over 4 months of running 24x7.
The biggest problem I had was shipping. The first unit had a broken air regulator and pressure sending unit. The air filter also was knocked loose but not damaged during shipping. I was able to get a replacement sent to me by Amazon, but the replacement was damaged even more. Same items were damaged except this pressure regulator was even more broken (it was absolutely destroyed). I kept the first one since it was less damaged and was able to get replacement parts for cheap. Amazon said they wouldn't be able to ship me a third unit and even gave me a wrong number to try to get replacement parts. Well it was a number that could have sold them to me, but Amazon said I would be able to get free replacements from the number they gave me...that wasn't so. To their credit, Amazon did refund me some of the purchase price which I used to get the replacement parts. I think the problem is the item just isn't packed well enough from the factory to survive the shipping (first was Fedex Ground, second was UPS....both damaged). Some more bracing to keep the compressor from 'falling' inside the box onto the parts that broke would be helpful. The other review at this time also indicates he had problems receiving a compressor free of damage. The price jumps around alot, I got it for less then 50% of the current Amazon price of $498.72 but it only stayed at that price for I think 1 day then went up significantly. For $500 price, you could probably get a bigger unit if you needed it.
Oh, be sure to add oil before starting it up. There are labels all over it stating that, so if you do that, then you obviously didn't pay much attention to it before starting it up!

And while the filters are a quality finish, the filters do not fit snug into original filter housing. Further, the original filter comb separators are completely incompatible with the replacement filters pruchased here. I had no problem returning the unopened boxes but lost out on the open box ($55.00) and shipping charges ($17.00) There is no easily discernable mention that the filters are NOT original equipment replacements.

I bought this some time ago, and since my scarf keeps falling off my nose, I decided to give it a try. It works real well. Mind you, it's not fashionable. I look like I'm going to rob the bank. (I don't wear it into stores), but it's kept me breathing warm air, while I'm trying to scrape ice off my windshield. The elastic keeps it in place, and that's a plus. I've been wearing it, even after the car warms up. It's turned out to be a good buy; I'm going to pick up a spare.
