(More customer reviews)I use this respirator when cleaning out the litter box. Don't know why they call it dust-free litter. It's still dusty! This mask is comfortable, the fit is good and the valve makes it especially easy to breathe in.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FACEMASKS AND RESPIRATORS
The respirators differ from facemasks because they fit closely around the face and have a finer filter. They are more difficult to breathe in, which is why the valve helps.
Medical facemasks are made to prevent penetration of blood and bodily fluids and large airborne droplets, but they don't do anything to filter out viruses. N95 respirators can filter out virus containing particles that are too small to be filtered by standard medical facemasks. The CDC recommends the N95 respirator for those healthcare workers exposed to patients with contagious respiratory illnesses.

The addition of an exhalation valve to this already effective mask (sanding, saw dust, fiberglass, drywall dust) adds comfort and gives a better seal because breathing doesnt lift the edges off the face. The foam sealing surface gives a comfortable fit, and the package reseals for storage.
