(More customer reviews)For the big stuff, this filter works great. However, if using on projects in the house, spend more and get the Rigid Fine Dust Filter, otherwise, the house will get coated with dust each time you fire up your Rigid shop vacuum, even if you are picking up only the big debris.

(More customer reviews)We got the ORIGINAL filter and put it aside when we were cleaning our house. We got the BLUE Ridgid VF5000 Microban Treated Fine Dust Replacement Filter at Home Depot for about 23.00. It was well worth it. We cleaned all the drywall dust from my house with this bad boy. I heard many people would have to toss them after use. Not with this. Cleaning a 2,500 square foot house twice with this filter. The finest dust was cought. When it got really full we had to empty the canister and clean the filter outside the house a few times per hour. But well worth the extra work cleaning then getting a new one. When we were finished I thought that this filter was shot. NOT SO. I took it home and dusted it off with my other sweeper and cleaned it - then ran under warm water and rinsed all the fine dust off. We let it sit and dry overnight and it was like brand new! Now I just need to know what I can use for WET VACCUMING! Love RIGID!

Shop-Vac 9032800 Ridgid Replacement Cartridge Filter Review

(More customer reviews)As per an earlier review, I too have a 16 gallon Craftsman shop vac that utilizes a "red-stripe" filter. The vac is about 2 + years old so I was probably due for new filter. Even though the measurements of this replacement filter are slightly different than the Craftsman original filter, this replacement fit just fine, but did require that I use the original cap from the old filter instead of the one provided so it could be secured the the appropriate filter location on the vacuum. No problem - it fit just fine. I am very happy with this product and would definitely buy one again versus paying an outrageous amount to buy one from Sears.
