(More customer reviews)You have to review this filter as a toy, but of course it is not. I bought this instead of the standard Hayward filter sold at Pitch a Penny. Works great, is made solid, delivered to the door and I saved 30 bucks. How can you beat that?

I am changing my review for this item to 3 stars. The first filter only lasted 1 year. I am going to purchase again and give it one more chance. I want to make sure it was nothing I did to reduce the life. I have attempted to clean this filter per manufacturers instructions. After it is cleaned it will give service for a few days and then plug right up. A sign of a dead cartridge.
The OE equipment cartridge for this filter is $100.00. However, the original cartridge gave 4 years of service. That is only $25.00 a year.
