(More customer reviews)This is a true HEPA replacement filter for your heat pump (about 99.7% elfficient). It removes a substantial amount of air borne particles and is great for allergy sufferers or just to cut down on household dust. I need to replace the filter every three months as the dust accumulation is significant and air flow would be reduced if left unchanged.
I prefer this type of filtering system (mechanical) to electrostatic air cleaners that may be slightly more effecient (99.9%) but stop working altogether in about a year. At least that has been my experience with two different models, one of which was a Honeywell.

Now they don't look exactly like the major brands that you find at Lowes or Home Depot, etc, but they seem sturdy enough and seem to work and trap the same amount of dust, pollen, fibers etc when I change them out. Quality of material used seems to be pretty good too. Has pleated like the major brands as well as what looks like metal grid on one side like the major brands too. I will purchase more when I start to run out again.

(More customer reviews)I bought this product because of the price for what seemed like an equivalent product to the Honeywell or AAF (American Air Filter) product. But it a poor cousin. It is cheaper, but what you get is less as well. Note the key differences compared to the AAF product:
1 - It is thinner: 3-5/8 inches versus 4-3/8 inches.
2 - It has only 13 folds of the filter versus 18.
It all adds up to less filtration surface. Pay less, get less. I'll buy the AAF or Honeywell next time.

16x25x5 MERV 13 Honeywell Replacement Filter (2 Pack) Review

(More customer reviews)1) It's slightly smaller than advertised so it doesn't fit as snugly as the Honeywell brand one that i replaced.
2) The product is a yellow filter, not white like the picture.
3) The brand that I received is Best Air Pro Series.
4) The filter has a MERV 11 sticker on it. I have no idea if that is true or if it is fake.
5) It looks like any other air filter i've bought and should catch dust out of the air.
6) I've not noticed any worsening in allergies since replacing my Honeywell brand filter.
7) It's cheaper. If it works, great. But the verdict is not in yet.
8) AMAZON, PLEASE MAKE THESE VENDORS ADVERTISE THEIR ACTUAL PRODUCT. This product heading says that it is "by Honeywell." ...IT's NOT. IT's AFTERMARKET. Plus I'm almost positive that when I bought it, there was no mention of "aftermarket, generic, X brand." And they used a false picture. Everything about this ad at the time I bought said that I was buying 2 HONEYWELL Replacement Filters. If it's an aftermarket unit, don't let them use a Honeywell brand stock photo and don't let them say that it's by Honeywell.

(More customer reviews)The product is satisfactory. The delivery was timely. Unfortunately, this product is slightly undersized for my needs. Apparently, the 16x25x4 filter that I have bought in the past signifies the actual dimensions instead of just a designation based on rounded-off dimensions as is the case for this product (15.5 x 24.5 x 3.63").
I used some folded up cardboard to fill in the 1/2" gap below the filter. Hopefully the 1/2" gap on the end and .37" thickness discrepancy do not affect the filtering performance by allowing bypass flow.

It's difficult to find the right product, since there are so many out there. Being overwhelmed at a store that carries a huge amount of different brands only makes us leave empty-handed or buy something cheap.
Running out of furnace air filters during winter and having to dress in bulky clothing is no fun. This 3-pack assures us that we will always have filters on hand.
We have many indoor cats. We also have allergies to the outdoors, so our doctors tell us we cannot open any windows. Just knowing these filters are at our fingertips sure takes a load off our minds.
They come well packaged and easy to store. Plus, they are high quality.
